Kent Creative Arts CIC
I founded Kent Creative Arts in July 2009, as a not for profit art organisation. We are based in Faversham Kent, and we aim at organising community projects and connect local artists to residents and businesses.
I founded the company initially to run the community photographic project A Year in the Life of Faversham which I have been organising since 2007.
I am planning to include other activites to do with the arts and culture in Kent.
A Year in the Life
Project manager of this event, the main one run by Kent Creative Arts.
The idea behind it is to record every day of the year in an area for the future and add on a variety of activity for people to lear about their heritage.
I got the idea and started it all in 2007 in Faversham; we are now working the third one, to cover Faversham, Canterbury and the Isle of Sheppey.
A Year in the Life of Faversham - Publications
Part of the 2009-2010 A Year in the Life of Faversham, I have organised the publication of two books. One to include all 365 pictures of the year 2009. Another one to include 50 old and new images of Faversham showing how it has changed over the years: Time Passes - The Changing face of Faversham (see link).
Thank you to Bob Lamoon for his work on this!
